Job Description : THE ROLE :

Our site in Billerica / Bedford, MA is seeking a hybrid Lead, UX Researcher to join our team.This person will work on a newly formed team that is helping shape the future of digital tools and platforms at Entegris.

You'llset research strategy and influence cross-functional product direction, partnering withdirectly with highly technical and operationally savvy partners - engineers, scientists, operations leader, business leaders - to understand the full context of work, identify barriers, and shape solutions that lead to measurable outcomes. You'll design and execute research programs, establish measurement frameworks, and build continuous feedback loops to guide product evolution over time for experiences that improve complex operational workflows, support R&D innovation efforts,empowering users across multiple business units and functions, from the shop floor to executives, to achieve strategic goals.

This is a hands-on, highly autonomous leadership level role for someone who brings strong product thinking, thrives in complexity, and is excited to help build a new practice from the ground up in partnership with the Director of HCD and a design partner.

As part of a newly forming Human-Centered Design practice, this role offers the unique opportunity to help shape how design and research integrate into our organization. You will provide thought leadership and create formal networks across functions,establish ways of working, processes, and best practices that enable high-impact outcomes within a lean, fast-moving environment. You will establish HCD as a way of working for teams, designing ways to "democratize" human-centered thinking through playbooks, learning sessions and internal "marketing" efforts. You will partner deeply with Change Management on how to align the functions leading to shared goals, efficiency in workflows and a deeper understanding of our employees.

This is an ideal role for someone excited to help build not just great solutions, but a great design and research culture from the ground up.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

  • Contribute to, define and lead digital business transformation initiatives through research.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, operations and business leaders to map our ecosystem of users' needs.
  • Support operational workflows and emerging AI-enabled tools with user-centered thinking.
  • Establish and continually evolve the new design research practice in partnership with the Director of HCD by defining ways of working, processes, and best practices.
  • Create personas, journey maps, qualitative research plans and guides, feedback and insights reports.

  • Outstanding Candidates Will Have :

  • 7+ years of experience, ideally including work in operational, manufacturing, or similarly complex environments.
  • Enterprise & Domain Expertise :

  • Experience with enterprise tools and operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with dashboard design and tools used in manufacturing or supply chain contexts.
  • Industry experience in manufacturing and supply chain is a strong bonus; B2B life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology sectors also considered.
  • AI & Emerging Technologies :

  • Familiarity with AI design principles, feedback loops, or agent-based UX.
  • Experience with platforms like Google Cloud's AI suite or comparable technologies.
  • Research Methodologies :

  • Skilled in applying Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) and other outcome-focused research approaches.
  • Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with the ability to select and apply the right tools for each context.
  • Measurement & Feedback :

  • Experienced in building and analyzing surveys, designing experience measurement frameworks, and creating feedback loops for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with experience measurement platforms and feedback collection tools; capable of guiding tool selection and implementation.
  • Strategic & Communication Skills :

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect user needs directly to operational and business outcomes.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills; able to clearly present research insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Compensation : $150,000 - $180,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
