Position Summary :

WEC is currently seeking a Structural Engineering Intern with a strong interest in structural design. This internship offers hands-on experience in performing engineering calculations and contributing to the design of diverse structures, including multi-family buildings, seawalls, docks, and park facilities. The ideal candidate is actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering and is eager to apply academic knowledge to real-world structural engineering projects. Responsibilities will include supporting design development, participating in construction phase services, and helping ensure projects meet technical standards, code compliance, budget constraints, and schedule goals.

Your Responsibilities as a Structural Engineering Intern :

• Assist in the development and review of structural components for various projects under the guidance and supervision of licensed engineers.
• Work closely with structural engineers, designers, inspectors and the Structural Department Manager.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration with in-house teams including Civil and Environmental departments on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Contribute to the technical review of design plans, calculations, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
