Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for an Education Specialist Mild / Mod (Elementary level) to work in a school located in Sonora, CA.
This position is for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This role involves assessing students' needs, developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), and providing differentiated instruction to promote students' academic achievement and social-emotional development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, a deep understanding of best practices for teaching students with diverse learning needs, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Pay Rate : up to $70 / hr
Bonus : $20K bonus spread throughout year ($5k after 60 days, $5k after Christmas break, and at end of school year / contract $10K)

Job Duties :
- Assess students' skills to determine their needs and to develop appropriate teaching and learning strategies.
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to meet the educational, physical, and emotional needs of students.
- Provide direct instruction in a variety of settings, including general education classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and interventions to support students with mild to moderate disabilities in accessing the general education curriculum.
- Monitor and document student progress towards IEP goals, adjusting instruction and interventions as necessary.
- Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, engaging, and supportive of all students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to implement effective strategies to support students' inclusion and success in the school community.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills related to special education, instructional strategies, and behavior management.
Qualifications :
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential-Moderate / Severe Disabilities OR Specialist Instructional Credential-Special Education / Severely Handicapped OR Education Specialist Instruction Credential-Extensive Support Needs and a valid CA Drivers License
