Description :

Position available in medical surgical float specialty.

Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 6 patients.

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required for applicants.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Every other weekend shift is required.

Nurses need to float to other medical-surgical units as required.

BLS certification is mandatory.

Pending licenses are acceptable; however, must obtain a valid license prior to starting.

All requests for time off must be submitted accordingly.

The ability to accommodate a block schedule is not available.

COVID-19 vaccination is required; exemptions for medical or religious reasons are allowed.

Flu vaccination is also required; exemptions for medical or religious reasons are allowed.

Nurses will be part of a resource pool, floating to various medical-surgical and telemetry units.

Experience in managing various medical procedures and patient care relevant to this specialty is essential.

Team members will work alongside interdisciplinary support services such as IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.

Patient demographic primarily includes adults and geriatric patients.

The average daily census in the unit is 22 patients.

The unit consists of 28 beds.

Special procedures and equipment may be involved, requiring proficiency in specific nursing skills.

Nurses cannot return to the facility as travelers after previous employment.

Modules and training are completed prior to the start of the assignment.
