Material Handler
Supports our manufacturing team to ensure all raw material is processed and available when needed. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage physical raw material inventory.
- Receive incoming material from suppliers and process into the system.
- Verify incoming material meets PO requirements.
- Process raw material per job orders using various saw and material cutting equipment.
- Distribute material to appropriate locations throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Empty chip bins and process scrap material.
- Help to resolve any shipment and product issues.
- As needed, provide support to other departments per direction from Supervisor / Manager.
Competencies :
Forklift operation and knowledge needed.Ability to use saw equipment to cut raw material.Safety Awareness.Documentation and Organizational Skills.Strong Communication Skills.Education and / or Experience :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Prior Inventory Control experience helpful.Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions.
