This role ensures that all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use in surgical procedures. The ASC Sterile Processing Technician reports to the ASC Nurse Manager and works closely with operating room staff, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.ResponsibilitiesDecontaminate and Clean Instruments

• Perform decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to ensure thorough cleaning.
• Follow infection control protocols to prevent contamination.Assemble and Package Instruments

Inspect instruments for damage and functionality.

Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and Sterrad systems.

Monitor inventory levels of sterile supplies and reorder as needed.

Adhere to OSHA, AAMI, and other regulatory standards.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a sterile processing program.
