Job Description
The Quality Manager (Electronics) will :
Lead and develop the Quality Assurance team, including engineers and inspectors.Serve as the primary Quality Management Representative and Lead Auditor for internal, external, and third-party audits.Maintain compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and other regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, ROHS, Conflict Minerals, MIL Specs).Oversee inspection activities, including First Article Inspections (AS9102), receiving, in-process, and final inspections.Manage calibration and proper use of electrical and mechanical inspection equipment.Train staff on quality systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Act as the primary quality liaison for customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.Support contract review and ensure quality requirements and compliance documentation are met.Investigate quality issues using root cause analysis; implement and verify corrective and preventive actions.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support cost-saving quality projects.Monitor daily quality operations, troubleshoot nonconformances, and support on-time delivery.Contribute to departmental planning, budgeting, and performance reporting.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The successful Quality Engineer (Electronics) applicant will have :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Quality experience with hands-on electronics testingPrior leadership or supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and other quality / regulatory standards.Hands-on experience with quality systems, audits, and compliance documentation.Proficiency in root cause analysis and implementing corrective / preventive actions.Familiarity with inspection tools and electrical test equipment (e.g., LCR meters, oscilloscopes, micrometers).Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, specs, and industry / military standards.Experience managing customer complaints, RMAs, and supplier quality issues.Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe and quality reporting tools preferred.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across departments.Whative on Offer
