Must-Have :

COVID vaccination preferred; religious exemptions considered

Experience as a MedSurg / Tele FLOAT RN

ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications

Description :

Will float between PCU unit and two other Med / Tele units with telemetry patients.

Support staff includes Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs.

Nurse to patient ratios are 1 : 5 during the day, 1 : 6 at night, and 1 : 4 for pediatrics, based on the level of acuity.

Nurse managers do not provide patient care but conduct rounds.

Floating is required to all Medical Surgical units, ER, Labor & Delivery, Behavioral Health, and ICU for Medical Surgical overflow patients.

Hospitalist is in-house 24 / 7.

Respiratory Therapist is on-site 24 / 7.

Pharmacy is available 24 / 7.

Scrubs can be of any color, but are not provided.

Charting system used is Allscripts - Sunrise.
