Host Job Description :
Our restaurant is looking for a host / hostess with remarkable and engaging people skills.
The right person for this job should be able to multitask between incoming guests and phone calls. Our restaurant prides itself in providing excellent service, which is why we are looking for a host who will treat our guests with attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude.
All our hosts are also responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions for To-Go orders. To help our restaurant provide a pleasurable dining experience, a great host should be able to ensure that our guests are fully satisfied by being friendly, courteous, accommodating, and reliable. A suitable candidate for the job should also be a problem-solver and a team player.
Main Responsibilities of a Host :
- Taking reservations over the phone and in person
- Maintaining a call ahead waitlist
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Greeting, checking in, and seating guests
- Providing exceptional customer service

Greeting, seating, and escorting guestsCoordinating with wait staff about incoming reservations and available seatingPerforming opening and closing dutiesOverall knowledge our reservation operating system, 'Resy'Answering phonesResponding to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient mannerProviding menu recommendations and additional informationChecking in guests and verifying or creating new memberships at the doorTaking To-Go ordersCommunicating To-Go order details to the kitchen staffAssist in cleaning and resetting the appearance of tables for the next round of guestsMaintaining a clean reception areaGiving all guests a warm farewellProviding exceptional customer serviceHost Job Requirements :
