Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Janesville, WI 53548 (Southern Wisconsin) Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Ortho & Neurology Unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights, 6 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend & holiday required Floating : May float to other hospital units as needed Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,880 - $2,020 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Current NIHSS certification Current CPR / BLS certification Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Flu Strong clinical skills in Orthopedics and Neurology preferred Excellent communication and teamwork skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards, hospital policies, and clinical protocols Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with standards of care Develop and implement individualized patient care plans as directed by physicians and hospital policy Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions Participate in unit-based performance improvement and shared governance initiatives Support other clinical units and departments as needed, utilizing Med / Surg expertise Apply critical thinking to promote patient safety and positive outcomes, escalating concerns as appropriate Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
