Job description

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician in the Chicago metro area to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across devices and systems supporting commercial HVAC operations.

Impact

Keep field technicians and office staff productive with quick technical support
Minimize downtime through efficient troubleshooting and problem resolution
Support business operations with reliable IT infrastructure
Provide excellent customer service to internal technology users

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on PCs, laptops, and mobile devices

Respond to helpdesk tickets and support requests in timely manner

Install and configure hardware and software for new users

Assist with network connectivity and system-related projects

Document issues and resolutions in ticketing system

Perform hands-on engagement with users at multiple locations

Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies

Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed

Requirements

Must-Haves

1+ years of IT support or helpdesk experience

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office

Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Valid driver's license for travel to multiple locations

Nice-to-Haves

CompTIA A+ or similar IT certifications

Experience supporting mobile devices and tablets

Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365

Associate degree in Information Technology or related field

Compensation & Logistics
