Summary :
Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to join their team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing all maintenance and engineering functions, from managing a team to ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Your day-to-day will involve everything from troubleshooting electrical issues and minimizing equipment downtime to developing team members and optimizing our preventive maintenance program. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will directly impact our production capacity and overall success.
Responsibilities :
- Provide hands-on leadership and supervision for a team of maintenance technicians, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee and execute the daily work schedule, prioritizing tasks to ensure adequate coverage and minimize production disruptions.
- Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture, including enforcing lock-out / tag-out procedures, conducting safety inspections, and investigating incidents.
- Champion our Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) process, leading breakdown analysis, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment downtime.
- Manage the preventive maintenance program by developing new inspection procedures, analyzing equipment failure modes, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the maintenance and production teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient service.
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and analyze data to improve processes.
- Ensure all maintenance work aligns with food safety and quality standards (SQF).
Required Qualifications :
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least four years in a high-speed manufacturing environment, including a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced production environment.A Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is a plus.Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software.The ability to work a 1st shift schedule (5 : 30 a.m. - 3 : 30 p.m.) with alternating weekends and flexibility for production needs.
