This position will serve as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (Deputy CIO) and provide the management and oversight of all Network and Security operations for the agency. The incumbent will serve as the technical architect for all statewide client / server solutions, establishing agency hardware standards and is responsible for the agency's network disaster recovery solution. Incumbent will provide necessary coordination, guidance and documentation for information security requirements and policies, create and maintain the information Technology (IT) security awareness program, provide oversight for all IT security projects, and periodically perform risk analysis and security assessments. Asset management regarding computer server equipment throughout the agency, ensuring network security protocols are established and followed, and any budgeting processes associated with software, hardware, and service contracts. This position requires a person with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently. Attention to detail and organization are critical to the success of the incumbent.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists Chief Information Officer (CIO) with governance oversight, IT policy development, projects and service delivery management.
• Assist with the development of the budget and spend plan for IT operations.
• Act on behalf of CIO as needed or during his absences.
• Assist with other IT-related matters as directed by the CIO.

Responsible for managing the Network and Security Section.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the Computer Sciences or Management Information Systems, Engineering, or similar discipline.

Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.

Minimum 5 years Project Management experience.

10 years of progressive work experience in information technology or data processing (excluding data entry).

Valid Driver's License

When identified on a position description, a valid driver's license is required.
