In the role of Home Care Caregiver, you will be responsible for supporting our aging residents by providing a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment to those requiring help with the activities of daily living at Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH).

Responsibilities
Serves as a companion and an advocate to all residentsReviews and understands each resident's care planProvides residents with both physical and emotional supportPrepares and administers medications per policyAssists with the transfer and mobility of a residentAssists with all activities of daily living, including but not limited to, dressing, bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, assist residents to meals, grooming, and toiletingResponds to all resident calls promptlyResponds promptly to emergencies and provides first aid when neededCommunicates effectively and / or documents a change in a resident's condition and / or edits daily progress notes as directedInforms supervisor of any resident changes of condition, increased care needs, or resident family concernsSupports the resident centered activity programResponds courteously to resident family member concerns and communicates with supervisor(s) promptlyUnderstands and follows security and emergency procedures at all timesCreates and maintains a safe workplace; reports unsafe areas or situations to the appropriate director or supervisorDisplays honesty and integrityParticipates in job-related trainingAttends scheduled meetings; be on time for all shifts and meetingsGreets all residents, visitors, and co-workers in a friendly mannerProtects residents’ rights, records, and privacy as required by federal, state, and local regulationsPractices AMH’s Service Standards in all work situationsMaintains appropriate levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, resident, and Academy Boulder mattersQualifications
