Overview :

Our client is looking for talented engineers to help us build the world’s knowledge engine and unlock data-native product experiences.

This is a great opportunity to join an early-stage startup and build a world changing product. The client’s vision is to create a decentralized knowledge graph protocol that maps 10 billion entities and the public knowledge surrounding them.

The world is lacking a decentralized graph of canonical knowledge that is open, free, permissionless and incentivizes contributions to the graph.

Their team uses AI / ML / NLP techniques including information extraction, web data extraction, ontology mapping, named-entity recognition and relation extraction, entity resolution, document understanding and clustering, topic modeling, semantic search, textual entailment, question-answering, and detecting complexity, subjectivity, and vandalism.

Their stack includes AWS, Elasticsearch, Python, TypeScript, React, Django, Postgres, non-relational DBs and graph technologies.

They are rapidly iterating to make our product more robust and scalable. As an early team member, you will be working in a startup environment with high autonomy and a rapid development pace.

The team is remote first working in time zones between San Francisco and Athens.

What you will be doing :

• Develop frameworks to support a new Web3 protocol. Innovate on processes and architecture, high quality API design, and system-design.
• Foster an efficient and disciplined engineering culture with an emphasis on minimizing tech debt and bureaucracy.
• Actively participate in shipping new features, product development, and taking an active role in code and design reviews for the team.
• Work on the front lines of building a new decentralized knowledge graph.

What you must have :

• Experience building complex web apps or blockchain applications. You are comfortable designing, developing and deploying features from beginning to end.
• Strong understanding of data structures with a passion for producing high quality code, design, and architecture.
• Bachelors in CS / EE or a related discipline. PhD or Masters preferred. We also consider exceptional applicants with other backgrounds including self-taught.
