Security Officer - Financial Patrol Unarmed

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Unarmed in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and communication. Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter of the financial institution to observe for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access or inappropriate behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete required reports and logs to document observations, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client personnel to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.
  • Remain aware of the surroundings and maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity on the property.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
