Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. specializes in commercial construction projects across Southern California. We are seeking a Licensed Electrical Foreman to join our team. In this hands-on leadership role, you will plan and supervise commercial electrical installations in coordination with project management, while working alongside your team to guide journeymen and apprentices. The Foreman is responsible for ensuring quality standards, productivity goals, and project deadlines are met. This position requires night shift availability and occasional travel to jobsites outside the normal service area as needed.
Scope of work
- Supervise the commercial work of electrical journeymen and apprentices
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and plans; lay out work for journeymen and apprentices
- Conduct tool-box talks and provide training to electrical apprentices and journeymen
- Install commercial electrical equipment and fixtures
- Install various types of conduit, raceway, and cable tray systems
- Preferred : experience with refrigeration motor controls, Ansul systems, and EMS
- Desired : knowledge of retail new construction and / or retail tenant improvement projects
- Troubleshoot motor control systems
- Work in confined spaces as required
- Perform work from ladders, man lifts, and in inclement weather
- Communicate with project managers and safety teams regarding jobsite progress
- Demonstrate and enforce quality electrical installation practices and jobsite safety
Requirements :
Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman, including a minimum of two years in a foreman role (retail construction experience preferred)Valid journeyman electrical license issued by the State of CaliforniaAbove average troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsValid driver license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background checkStrong English literacy skills are required to effectively communicate with management via email, phoneMust be available to work nights or travel as neededSuperior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a service and construction company providing customer service throughout California and other states.
