Vice President, Primary Casualty – National Accounts
The National Casualty Practice is a premier team of casualty brokerage professionals with extensive experience in representing buyers of primary and umbrella / excess liability. We are looking to add a Vice President, Broker II to our Chicago primary casualty team! This hybrid role requires three days a week in the Chicago office.
What the Day Will Look Like
- Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, and General Liability policies.
- Conduct thorough analysis of current risk transfer programs, including coverage and cost analysis and graphical representation.
- Plan and design insurance program structure and alternatives.
- Prepare all marketplace insurance submissions; coordinate and conduct market meetings and negotiations with Account Executives (may include some travel).
- Finalize quotes and provide a comprehensive comparison of program options for client proposals, including exposure, loss, collateral, coverage terms, and cost of risk.
- Execute placements within required timeframes and service those placements, including policy reviews.
- Analyze and review insurance programs to determine optimum structure, pricing, terms, and conditions for new and renewal business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters.
- Mentor and help develop associate brokers on the team.
- Collaborate with other Aon colleagues as a team member.
- Apply benchmarking and loss analysis knowledge.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
5 to 7+ years of experience working in primary placements and / or casualty.Proven knowledge of casualty products (Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella / Excess).Strong understanding of national casualty risks and carrier appetites.Broad relationships with carriers that write national casualty P&C business.Attention to detail, ability to multi‑task, exceptional organizational skills, and ability to make and communicate difficult decisions.Strong experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and presentation skills.Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.Property and Casualty Brokers License is required (can be attained on the job).Benefits

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $120,000 to $164,000 annually. Actual salary varies based on education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment. The salary may also be adjusted based on geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in Aon’s annual incentive plans for discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary.
