Role description
We are the Live Video Streaming Operations team responsible for supporting sports content ranging from college sports all the way to the sports Leagues. On a daily basis, you will be interacting with live sports content supporting over 15 different platforms, apps, and sites and more. We are also responsible for the encoding and delivery of premium content to millions of users every day. You will play a key role in delivering sports content to potentially millions of people around the world.
Role Details :
- This role is mainly responsible for live event operations for sports events, including live matches, press conferences, weigh-ins, etc. You will be responsible for ensuring the content is slated at the appropriate time, with the slate also dropped on cue. As a Tier 1 Live Event Operator, you will also dial in to bridge lines and listen for cues to trigger ad markers. In addition, you will need to clip match replays.
- This is a revenue impacting position in which attention to detail and timing is critical. It also requires a commitment to working weekends, which are busy days for our live sports portfolio.
- When not working on the assigned content, you will be expected to help other Live Operations teams as they stream additional events - everything from world rugby and soccer to college athletics.
Your Day-to-Day :
Work with a range of live sports contentInteract with our operations team as well as support teams for both internal and external partnersDrop and add event slates at the appropriate time.Clip events for quick-turnaround recaps once the fights are complete.Join AD Lines and trigger digital ads for various live products.Assist in monitoring, checking, testing, and troubleshooting live events on a range of platforms and devices.Interact with key partners, including but not limited to Sports production. Work with each to set up test events and to ensure live events are successful.Work closely with system Developers to report and escalate issues.Support and assist with live and other events as assigned / needed.Qualifications :
What you bring to the team :
A commitment and willingness to work weekends, including Sundays.At least one year of experience in live television, master control, or sports media.A basic understanding of broadcast standards and operations, as well as best practicesAn eye for detail.Ability to work under pressure and, at times, unsupervised, as well as effectively communicate and document processes.A basic understanding of live-streaming video.The ability to execute daily, weekly, and monthly tasks without supervision or prompting.Skills
