The Data Coordinator is responsible for compiling information from various sources, including paper documents and archival databases, into a single repository. In addition, this position is responsible for data input and output, data management, data manipulation and reporting for the housing department. This position works with a great deal of sensitive information and the incumbent must understand and exercise confidentiality in their work.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree in any computer, business information technology or data related field preferred
- 2+ years experience in a role that requires heavy data entry, reporting, data analysis and / or database management
- Excellent written communication, including use of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access
- Experience with office equipment, such as printers and scanners
- Strong data entry skills typing speed 60 wpm or 1500 ksph
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay focused on tasks in a busy environment and meet prescribed deadlines
- Ability to work discretely with confidential information
- Experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
