SacENT is looking to fill the New Patient Coordinator position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for creating and setting up new patient accounts, guiding new patients through the initial paperwork and ensuring all forms are completed accurately.
- Assist with routing calls to correct personnel as needed.
- Verifying insurance information, securing and filing medical records, and preparing for the patient's first visit.
- Relays necessary messages to staff
- Verifies referral and / or authorizations
- Acts in a courteous manner and maintains composure when dealing with angry or irritated patients
- Maintains database, fax and scan patient history and update patient account information
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required :
High School degree or GEDMinimum Experience required :
One-year medical scheduling experience, preferably in a medical office setting.Medical Assistant experience a plusSkills required :
