Job Description

The Delivery Driver position is part of the Office Administrative Support department. The majority of work will be to transport inter-office mail from the main office to various project sites on Oahu and bring back mail to the main office for distribution.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible for creating and maintaining a regular daily schedule for pickup and delivery of mail and supplies for the company needs as they arise.
Responsible for delivery of mail and supplies on a timely basis.
Assist office and field personnel with miscellaneous functions when necessary.
Responsible for the safe and lawful operation and care of the company delivery truck.
Courier will be driving a non CDL required flatbed truck.
Shift will begin 7 : 00a - 7 : 30a.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS USED :

Knowledge of the various roadways on Oahu.

Ability to efficiently plan daily schedule to coincide with project schedule needs.

Ability to adapt to a variety of company needs regarding this position.

Knowledge of Hawaii State laws governing the operation of vehicles on the state roadways.

Safe driving habits.

Ability to load and operate company truck safely.

Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of company truck.

Ability to record and report activities in writing and verbally.

Commercial Driving Experience is a bonus.

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED required.

Valid Drivers License.

Good driving record, clean abstract within the last 3 years.

1-2 years of experience as a delivery driver

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to obtain DBID's.
