Description
The Powder Coat Painter is primarily responsible for spray painting. This includes verifying work orders for coating requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities not limited to :
\n
- Preparing : Pretreating, cleaning, masking, and priming parts
\n
Applying : Spraying powder coat onto surfaces\n
Inspecting : Performing quality checks, including first piece, in-process, and final inspections\n
Maintaining : Adjusting sprayer valves and nozzles, and maintaining and organizing the powder storage room\n
Other : Loading and unloading parts, changing hanging patterns onto the carts. Then moving carts in and out of the oven\n \n
Requirements
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
\n
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings\n
Basic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring tools\n
Familiar with mixing process of paint colors\n
Operate a forklift\n \n

Ability to work in an environment that produces excellent quality and quantity work\n
Ability to organize and prioritize jobs\n
Ability to communicate - verbally and written\n \n
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
\n
Able to stand for long periods of time\n
Able to lift, push, and pull 25 pounds unassisted\n
Typical machine shop environment.\n
Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met.\n
Willing to be cross trained on different machines\n \n
Minimum Qualifications
\n
High School diploma or GED\n
Shop experience spray painting\n
Experience in disassembling spray gun and cleaning out lines, operating forklift and overhead crane\n
