Responsibilities Work in the ICU specializing in Stem Cell Transplant and Car-T patient care Unit has 15 beds with an average daily census of about 7 patients Night shift position, 3x12 hour shifts (19 : 00-07 : 30) Floating to Med / Surg units is required Every third weekend is required Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic EMR for documentation SBAR communication model is used No on-call required First time travelers are welcome to apply Comprehensive 24-hour floor orientation is provided Pewter scrubs required (not provided by facility) Team may include travel pairs Flu vaccine or signed declination form required during flu season (October-March) No restrictive rules on requested time off Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted at the local rate Requirements Active IL RN license in hand is required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required; 4 years preferred Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (no HeartCode) Stem Cell experience is a plus but not required Chemotherapy certification is encouraged and may be required depending on unit OCN certification preferred Proficiency required in dysrhythmia management, arterial line and central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, emergency medication, titrating cardiac drips, BiPAP / CPAP management, chest tube assistance, care of ventilated patients, HFNC use, ABG interpretation, suctioning, ventilator management, infection prevention, PPE / isolation precautions, and phlebotomy Experience with Epic charting system required Former employees are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618313.
