Job descriptionCompetitive base salary Bonus opportunities Company paid medical Dental and life insurance 401K Excellent training Great family work environment Paid vacation and holidays Create detailed fabrication level drawing packages for projects that are visually appealing and functionally attractive Work with Work with the manufacturing department to support assembly of components per drawings Strong ability to understand mechanical equipment with high attention to detail Adhere to project schedule Maintain proper communication with Ability to work effectively & efficiently with project team members on multiple projects simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as logical thought process Travel to plant sites is minimal but could be Follow all JMS, Inc. policies and procedures Must possess a minimum Intermediate level 3D detailer Knowledge and experience 2 years of experience with creating drawings of weldments and assemblies 1 years of experience with 2D detailing in AutoCAD a plus Strong background of mechanical equipment with Strong communication skills including the ability to negotiate positive outcomes Experience with power transmission equipment including motors, gearboxes, chain drives, shafts & bearings Requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook Desire to learn and to continue developing knowledge and skills Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, machining, etc. Experience with the municipal water and wastewater industry a plus Experience with material handling systems (conveyors and bulk storage) a plus Experience with electrical power, instrumentation and controls a plus Experience applying GD&T is strongly desired or certification in GD&T is a plus Certified Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting / Engineeringor other relevant field of engineering with equivalent combination of experience

Job Summary : The Detailing
position at Jim Myers & Sons, Inc. (JMS) is a vital member of the Operations / Detailing Teamand is a diverse
high paced position. A Detailer is responsible for the development of drawings, plans, and other documents. This includes drawing layouts, engineering drawings, and detailed fabrication prints. The Detailer should be comfortable in a manufacturing environment and have experience with sheet metal components and multibody weldments.
Responsibilities include :
Designer(s)
to prepare
detailed submittal packages on the same caliber as fabrication packages
and specifications to meet the projects time objectives and milestones
departments such as, sales, project management, and engineering
required for field measurements, installation
support and troubleshooting (Travel
Qualifications
2+ year(s) (3,500+ hours) of experience in 3D modeling with SolidWorks (preferred)
and / or Certified
SolidWorks Professional preferred
applying drafting standards to fabrication level drawings
high attention to detail
