Backend Software Engineer (San Francisco)

As a Backend Software Engineer at Regard, you’ll be involved in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle : idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution, deployment, and iteration of new and existing features. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, design, and product teams to bring new features and products to life.

Your primary objective will be to develop high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and align with the organization’s business goals. This includes analyzing requirements, designing robust architectures, writing efficient code, and conducting thorough testing.

You’ll be responsible for contributing to high-priority projects and continuous improvement initiatives. By delivering innovative and reliable software, you’ll help drive the success of our organization and make a meaningful impact on the industry.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with product and design team members to design medium to large projects balancing speed to market, user experience, business goals, and technical architecture quality
• Operate independently in building new features and capabilities, with support from senior engineers
• Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase and tooling in your area of responsibility by proactive fixes and improvements, and through identifying and proposing projects to improve the overall backend codebase
• Participate in operational activities supporting including on-call, monitoring, and production support
• Contribute as necessary across the stack (front end, infrastructure, AWS, etc)

$150,000 - $170,000 a year

At Regard, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience. We expect the base salary range for this position to be $150,000to $170,000. This is subject to change and may be modified in the future. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
