Key Responsibilities :
Patrol hospital grounds and facilities to ensure safety and compliance
Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents in a calm and professional manner
Enforce hospital policies and support staff with safety-related concerns
Assist with patient, visitor, and staff safety needs including conflict de-escalation
Monitor surveillance equipment and access control systems
Complete detailed incident reports and documentation
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety preferred
Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations
Certification in CPR and first aid (or willingness to obtain)

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1 year of work experience in Security, military, corrections, or law enforcement. Work experience within one of these areas within a healthcare facility preferred.
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
HS diploma or GED; Associate’s / bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field.
SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
HIPAA REQUIREMENTS :
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to patient demographics, patient related complaints, and information related to patient location.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS :
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to : Incident reporting, PPE, exposure control plans, environment of care, identifies patients, if necessary, monitors alarms and interfaces with all age groups and complies with related competencies.
