Summary : The Shipping and Receiving Lead will assist the Warehouse Supervisor and coordinate the daily activities of the team in the Manufacturing and Sourced Equipment buildings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist and lead in the daily warehousing duties, including receiving, quality control, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Oversee daily inventory troubleshooting, assist in cycle count research, and continuous improvement.
- Review the backlog of orders and help shift resources to critical areas. Act as a back-up to the warehouse team and work overtime when necessary (e.g. employees are out of the office, high order intake, past-due backlog).
- Create quality orders for checkout of machinery, pull and uncrate machinery as needed for quality checks before shipping to customers.
- Coordinate preparing items for trade shows and shipping to / from the show given the constraints of each trade show.
- Collaborate with Management, Sales, Purchasing, and Accounting to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure the work environment is safe, clean, and organized. Coach and train the team on safe working habits, lifting, PIT operation and maintenance. Report any accident or near miss to the Fulfillment Center Supervisors.
- Support the FC Supervisors with development, implementation, and training of the processes, systems, and best practices to ensure the goals of the company are met or exceeded.
- Communicate with FC Supervisors regarding any employee issues, productivity concerns, or inefficiencies that aren't easily resolved or remedied.
Other Responsibilities :
Observe all safety and security procedures for your area. Use equipment and materials properly and report potentially unsafe conditions.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities :
This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees but is responsible for the coordination of activities of the warehouse and supporting the Fulfillment Center Supervisors.Education and / or Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent.Two years of relevant warehouse experience, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory troubleshooting.Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.WMS (Warehouse Management Software) experience is preferred.Physical Demands :
Must be able to fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 60 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment :
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and may be exposed to shop elements such as dust, odors, fumes and oils. Ambient temperatures can range from hot to cool. This job entails frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery.
