Senior Operational Support Facility (OSF) Specialist

ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Senior Operational Support Facility (OSF) Specialist to join our Pacific OSF team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is a 100% on-site, full-time position at either the Southern California TRACON (SCT) in San Diego, CA or the Northern California TRACON (NCT) in Mather, CA. OSFs are responsible for managing and maintaining the operational capabilities of air traffic control facilities, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and requirements for effective air traffic management. We are looking for an experienced individual to work independently, with little to no supervision. This individual will / may : provide 2nd level engineering support, perform assignments on a broad range of tasks associated with the implementation of standards techniques, procedures, and criteria as they apply to technical tasks, develop new technology, modify the structure of existing products, and provide technical guidance to complex projects. Require knowledge of both state-of-the-art and aging technologies that comprise the FAA's National Airspace System (NAS) and the products from emerging NAS modernization programs. Interface with specialists from other backgrounds such as hardware, software, logistic support, and testing to produce fully integrated and responsive components and systems.

Citizenship / Permanent Residency Requirement : All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance. Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA). Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years. The company is unable to sponsor candidates at this time.

Relocation Requirement : Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to either the SCT or NCT.

Education Requirement : All non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate. High School Diploma or equivalent education level and a minimum of twenty-five (25) years of NAS related experience is required, with a minimum of twenty (20) of those years as a Certified Professional Air Traffic Controller (CPC) in a civilian or military En Route, Oceanic or Terminal Air Traffic Control facility.

Essential Daily Job Duties and Preferred Skills : NAS work experience; including but not limited to Air Traffic Control (ATC) experience. Southeast OSF Point of Contact for ASRC Federal Participation in Team Selection, Employee assessments and Corporate Communication with other POC's. Technical Support Specialist for Air Traffic Control Systems. Responsible for STARS and other terminal based adaptations. Provide remote and on-site support for multiple FAA Air Traffic Control sites in maintenance and troubleshooting STARS adaptations. Screen, recreate and analyze field reported problems and submit Program Technical Reports to the STARS Central Support Complex. Distribute system software upgrade releases and adaptation updates to operational STARS sites. Participate on STARS IOC implementations as assigned. Provide quality control testing for NAS adaptation deliveries. Insure that MSAW and CA adaptation complies with national standards and guidelines. Implement FAA policies, technical procedures and standards for preserving the integrity and security of data, reports and access.

Work Environment : Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule and occasional non-standard work hours. Occasional travel (less than 20%). Cubicle environment.
