As the Senior Manager of Public Cloud Sales, you will lead a dynamic and high-performing team of sales professionals dedicated to acquiring net-new customers and capturing competitive market share. Your mission will be to aggressively penetrate target accounts, self-source opportunities, and close strategic cloud deals across our managed AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, where you will actively engage in sales strategies, refine prospecting approaches, and eliminate any obstacles that could hinder deal closures. To succeed in this role, you need a relentless focus on pipeline generation, precise deal execution, and the ability to cultivate a results‑driven culture that consistently surpasses ambitious growth targets. You will also collaborate cross‑functionally to expand market reach and accelerate revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, focusing on acquiring new logos.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard sales specialists capable of self‑sourcing and closing complex opportunities.
  • Lead and coach your team while holding them accountable for their prospecting efforts and sales metrics.
  • Support high‑stakes sales pursuits, driving strategy and executive engagement.
  • Work with the Senior Director of Public Cloud Sales to align territory strategies and enhance go‑to‑market efforts.
  • Collaborate with Cox Business and indirect partners to leverage co‑selling opportunities and broaden market coverage.
  • Build strong relationships with hyperscaler partners to drive joint pipeline initiatives.
  • Coordinate with marketing to create effective campaigns that promote growth in priority markets.
  • Provide valuable market and competitive insights to guide product and operational strategies.
  • Represent RapidScale at major industry events and executive customer engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in cloud / managed IT services, including 5+ years in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; OR 12+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years in a quota‑carrying sales leadership role managing a team focused on new customer acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success in closing complex, enterprise cloud deals in competitive environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for client and team engagement.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managed service providers or cloud systems integrators.
  • Existing relationships in the hyperscaler ecosystem.
  • Technical knowledge of cloud and IT services such as IaaS, PaaS, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience in matrixed sales environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise channel partnerships.
  • Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $129,500.00 - $194,300.00, plus an annual incentive / commission target of $75,000.00. Benefits include flexible paid vacation, wellness hours, paid holidays, bereavement leave, and more.
