Senior Designer / Engineer

Overview : We are seeking an individual to be part of a growing team providing planning and design services to a variety of clients with varying degrees of complexity. The ideal applicant will possess the organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects concurrently. Additionally, this individual will have the ability and skills to work part of a team and participate in a workplace culture that supports “Team Building”.

• Location : Fort Wayne Area, Valparaiso, Porter County, and Surrounding Area (Remote / Hybrid Work

Options Available)

o Lead a team of designers with the development of plans, specifications, analyses, evaluations, maps,

procedures, and reports.

o Oversee the design and building of large construction projects, including roads, railways, airports,

bridges, dams, sewage systems, pipelines, and buildings.

o Prepare project plans, inspect designs, and manage budgets and resources.

o Create geometric layouts for infrastructure projects and site development for private and public clients.

o Prepare comprehensive construction plan sets that include plan, profile, note, and detail sheets.

o Adhere to QA / QC standards and procedures.

o Collaborate with engineers and colleagues, including mentoring junior staff.

o Ensure profitability by monitoring budget versus project progress.

o Possess extensive experience in managing large construction projects and the ability to ensure

adherence to construction specifications and standards.

o Survey new construction sites and assess existing structures for upgrades.

o Design and recommend improvements to computer-aided design (CAD) software drawings and

schematics. Utilize our design software Civil 3D or MicroStation.

o Great leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

o Perform cost estimations and preparing project budgets.

o experience with drainage analysis and design

o Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

o Inspect completed projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.

o Document processes and presenting project progress updates to senior managers and clients.

Required :

o A minimum of 10+ years of experience

o Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

o State-licensed and certified civil engineer.

o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

o Licensed, Professional Engineer (PE) in State of Indiana

Annual Salary; $95,000 - $105,000 plus bonus program. A&Z has a competitive benefit package.
