As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming environment for everyone on site.   • What You'll Do :
  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
  • Responsibilities :
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support site operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions or security-related concerns within the facility or surrounding areas.
  • Assist with access control, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location as needed.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and / or site leadership regarding incidents, hazards, or other security-related matters.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and / or local authorities as appropriate during emergencies or incidents.

  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
  • Minimum Requirements :
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
