Nicholas Noble & Associates, our newly established staff counsel office for State Farm is scheduled to open in January of 2026.

Our new office located in Athens, GA, is seeking talented Attorneys who are passionate about delivering exceptional legal services and growing with us from the ground up. The new team is comprised of multiple roles and levels including Leadership, Attorney, Paralegal, Legal Secretary, and Legal Administrative Support.

While every day can provide different experiences and opportunities, State Farm attorneys maintain their own caseload from inception to conclusion. The role involves case ownership, participating in litigation events, and meeting with clients. We encourage a collaborative environment where our attorneys can assist each other and have access to support staff while maintaining ownership of their files. As a result of not being billed by the hour, our attorneys have the opportunity to strategize on trial and case development as it passes through litigation. The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend time in the office.

Responsibilities

will include but are not limited to : Handles litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established by the Law DepartmentPrepare and summarize reports for proceedingsTrial strategy and case developmentAttends litigation events including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings

Qualifications

Previous Experience required2-20 years of civil trial litigation and jury trial experience preferably in the practice areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers compensation3+ years criminal jury trial experience as first-chair will be consideredKey Skills requiredJury trial, mediation, and deposition experienceFile ownershipKnowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law commensurate with level of experienceEffective written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a team settingTechnology / software experience requiredAbility to work efficiently with cases in electronic formWorking knowledge of a Case Management systemWorking Knowledge of a Document Storage systemEducation requirements including licenses and certificationsJ.D. from an A.B.A. Accredited Law School, with excellent academic credentialsMust have an active law license to practice in the state of Georgia and a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
