Travel Medical Social Worker - $1,713 per week in Anchorage, AK

Job Title : Emergency Room Social Worker Profession : Social Services Specialty : LMSW (Licensed Masters of Social Worker) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience, ER experience preferred License : Valid state license as LMSW or LCSW accepted, pending license accepted Certifications : LMSW or LCSW required Must-Have : Acute care experience required Description : The position is for an Emergency Room Social Worker. Either LMSW or LCSW certification is accepted. Experience in acute care is required. Emergency room experience is preferred. The social worker will provide psychosocial and emotional support to patients and families. The role includes completing psychosocial assessments and identifying appropriate discharge plans. Clinicians will work in alignment with policies and regulations. They will assist with resource navigation and coordination of care. Engaging in safety planning and completing appropriate reports of harm is also required. The social worker will coordinate with team members and outside entities. The position involves working closely with case managers and care teams. Floating within the hospital may be necessary to meet facility needs. Weekend coverage may be required. Experience with behavioral health assessments can be helpful but will not be a primary responsibility. This role is not a behavioral health position.
