The Territory Manager develops and maintains business relationships with decision-makers and purchasing influencers within an assigned territory.
The Territory Manager understands the desired customer outcome and develops pursuit strategies to profitably grow a portfolio of products & services designed to help increase the productivity and profitability of customer plants.
This is a field sales job that requires a self-motivated, ambitious, technical person who enjoys solving problems and growing a business.
The territory is in the Raleigh, NC area.
Responsibilities
This position is accountable for the promotion and sale of a broad range of technical products / solutions / services under the direction of the VP of Sales.
Develops new sales opportunities / accounts and addresses and services the needs of established accounts. Utilizes excellent products / solutions / services and customer knowledge to educate customers on pricing and application advantages, and how they meet customer's needs.
Here is a basic rundown of the position :
- Leads company sales within a defined territory.
- Develops new sales opportunities pipeline in existing accounts. Perform developmental activities to target new competitive large accounts.
- Drive account penetration in all price modes.
- Acts as the focal point for customer communications and solutions
- Ability and willingness to use CRM tools is a must.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all the companies Product Lines and Services; including but not limited to FESTO, SICK, Universal Robots, Epson Robots, Emerson Automation and LMI
- Develop forecasts and execute sales plans to achieve company and individual goals.
- Manage and maintain excellent relationships and identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Prospect and develop new customers who are a good fit for the company's products and solutions.
- Maintain accurate account records within Salesforce
- 4 Year Degree or Equivalent
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience selling Technical Products in a Manufacturing Environment
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and spoken.
- Business and financial savvy. Results driven; financial acumen.
