Description :
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse.
This position includes responsibilities for quality assurance, staff education, and infection prevention.
The schedule is flexible with options of 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM.
Varied weekends may be required.
The role will involve implementing policies and procedures related to quality assurance.
Guidelines include nursing home regulations, facility practices, evidence-based practice, complaints, audits, observations, and other informational sources.
Data will be gathered and analyzed through audits, interviews, and various activities.
The purpose is to monitor compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, and regulations across all disciplines.
The nurse will review the monthly CASPER report and develop Quality Assurance Performance Improvement plans as necessary.
Periodic reports summarizing facility compliance with established goals and measures will be prepared and distributed.
The nurse assists supervisors and managers in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
Monitoring and reporting on the facility's plans for correcting deficiencies identified by surveying agencies will be essential.
It is important to ensure that the facility meets state, federal, and applicable regulations.
The nurse will investigate incidents of non-compliance and coordinate preparations for surveys.
This role requires chairing and coordinating internal Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committee meetings.
The nurse will identify training needs and implement educational programs related to quality assurance and compliance.
Maintaining records to document training and compliance with regulations is necessary.
Daily rounds will be conducted for infection control surveillance to ensure compliance with individual care plans for residents with infections.
Staying informed about current information and attending educational opportunities is vital to assist in the role.
Knowledge of management principles, facility policies, quality assurance methods, and relevant nursing home regulations is required.
Skills in verbal and written communication, problem solving, and analytical abilities are essential.
The ability to analyze and interpret information, work with all organizational levels, and develop training programs is necessary.
