POSITION SUMMARY :
The engineer will work with the sustaining engineering team to build understanding of the company's products and design / launch process. The engineer will gain experience in the creation or modification of wire diagrams, understanding the application of printed circuit boards and wire harnesses, the release of build packages for high mix production, continuous improvement and flow optimization for a value stream. The Electrical Engineer duties will include developing and maintaining Electrical wiring diagrams and schematics, Production Drawings, Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Files, problem solving and root cause analysis.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Develop understanding of derivative order launch process from specification / order initiation to build and ship.
- Create and maintain wiring diagrams and electrical documentation via 2D and 3D software packages
- Process documentation and prepare electrical schematics and drawings relating to the Production team.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Provide support in troubleshooting production issues relative to performance, fit, finish and BOM accuracy.
- Design electrical circuits and diagrams in support of NPD (New Product Development) initiatives, including failure mode and effect analysis, advanced predictive engineering tools, performance testing and analysis, and agency certifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new products are optimized for manufacturability, installation and field service.
SKILLS & ABILITIES : Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent degree or experience requiredExperience :
Entry Level : Electrical engineering experience.Experience in a manufacturing environment a plusHVAC industry and electronics design experience strongly preferred.Computer Skills :
Proficiency in Electrical schematic analysis and design.Proficiency in advanced modeling and basic programming a plus.Familiar with Microsoft Office suite productsCertificates & Licenses :
Lean or six sigma background preferredOther Requirements :
Knowledge of HVAC system design and applications a plusKnowledge of the fundamentals of electronics, electrical circuit design a plus.Knowledge of new product development, design for manufacturability and six sigma lean processes a plus.
