Job Title : Concrete Structures Foreman

Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Concrete Structures Foreman to oversee our concrete construction projects, specializing in bridge construction and bridge rehabilitation.

As the Concrete Structures Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of workers and ensuring that concrete structures are built safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities related to concrete structures, including bridge construction and bridge rehabilitation projects.
• Lead a crew of construction workers, including concrete finishers, form setters, and laborers, providing guidance, training, and direction as needed.
• Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and other relevant standards.
• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and ensure accurate execution of work.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to schedule work activities and resources effectively.
• Monitor progress of work and productivity of crew members, identifying and addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise.
• Conduct quality inspections of concrete work to ensure that it meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Manage material and equipment resources, including ordering concrete materials, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, milestones, and any potential issues or delays.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to excellence among crew members.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in construction management or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in concrete construction, with a focus on bridge construction or rehabilitation.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Familiarity with construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certification or training in concrete construction or related field.
• Experience working on bridge construction or rehabilitation projects.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, including DOT requirements.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with construction software and technology, such as scheduling software or mobile applications for project management.
