Must-Have :

• 1 year of experience in an orthopedic nursing setting

Description :

This position is for a registered nurse specializing in orthopedics.

The unit accommodates a capacity of 33 beds.

It serves a population of post-surgical patients specializing in orthopedics, oncology, and neurology.

Patients range from young adults to late adults (ages 18 and older).

Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 6.

Staffing includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Interns.

Registered Nurses assume full responsibility for the patients on each team.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.

OCN certification is strongly encouraged.

Traveling nurses may be required to float to different units or facilities within a designated radius.

Floating assignments will be based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity.

Notifications will be provided before scheduled shifts if float assignments are necessary.
