Assistant to the Director & Marketing Coordinator
This position is an integral part of a dynamic and vibrant team that provides support for the School of Music faculty, students, alumni, and community of supporters. Responsibilities :
- Serve as communications liaison between the Director, Dewberry School of Music, and students, faculty, and the University community;
- Manage calendar / schedule for the Director, Dewberry School of Music;
- Schedule meetings, record minutes, and prepare meeting technology for the School of Music;
- Ensure efficiency of academic processes, e.g., faculty and staff searches, supervising student office assistants and marketing interns;
- Manage office and assist new faculty and staff members;
- Create graphic designs for events in Canva or Photoshop;
- Design bi-monthly Constant Contact newsletters promoting upcoming concerts, initiatives, announcements etc.; and
- Curate social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X with the assistance of an intern.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience;Knowledge of performing arts;Must navigate databases, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office suite, social media, and Canva or Photoshop with ease;Attention to detail in scheduling meetings with appropriate follow-up on email conversations; andExcellent writing and oral communication skills; andDetail-oriented in all aspects.Preferred Qualifications :
