Coryell Health is seeking a board-certified Nephrologist to join our medical staff and provide nephrology services at our hospital in Gatesville, TX. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and provide non-surgical treatment plans for acute and chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, glomerular disease, and related conditions
- Provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology consultations
- Manage acute dialysis for hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with primary care providers on management of patients with chronic kidney disease
- Develop individualized treatment plans which may include medication management, dialysis, and kidney transplants
- Educate patients and families on kidney disease management and treatment options
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nephrology care
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
- Completion of an accredited Nephrology fellowship program
- Board certified in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas
- Excellent diagnostic, treatment, communication, and bedside manner skills
