We currently need a customer service manager who will be responsible for handling our customers' insurance needs, keeping cases organized, and taking the initiative to help out with unique client issues within a smooth, stressless experience.
We're a small, office-based team focused on highly personalized service to many long-standing clients as well as taking on new clients.
Communication Skills :
Professional Messaging and Timeliness
This person should feel confident and have experience handling personal lines clients and commercial lines clients in a professional manner across all communication methods : an old-fashioned phone call, email, a mailed letter, and in-person interactions.
Timely, personal communication is a hallmark of this family-run business that just celebrated its 70th year in business in 2022.
Positive, Curious, Helpful
This person will use a service-minded approach founded on curiosity to seek answers and accurate information for clients.
This person will stay informed of insurance-related tools and trends within the industry by following research-based resources (i.
e. iii.org, Travelers blog, Trusted Choice content, etc.)
Problem-solving Attitude
This person will be in charge of managing existing accounts including but not limited to client communication, policy changes, renewals, payments, and claims.
This person will follow up during and after a claim in a timely matter, allowing clients to work with you to solve problems.
Organized
This person will naturally have strong organizational skills, an ability to alternate their attention to a few different accounts on the same day, manage time effectively, and work independently.
This person will be able to cross-sell existing clients and process and rate new applications for prospective clients.

He is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. Prior to becoming President, Curtis served as Vice President since 1981.
Curtis is a licensed real estate and insurance broker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Before J.M. Whitney & Co., Curtis served as Vice President of Management Realty Group and worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Property Tax Department.
Curtis is active in many local charities including the Watertown Rotary Club (Past President), PMC / Jimmy Fund and the American Cancer Society.
He currently serves as Vice-President of the Watertown Boys and Girls Club and is a member of the Newton / Needham Chamber of Commerce.
A native of Watertown, Curtis attended the Belmont Hill School and holds BS in Management from Bentley University.
