JOB SUMMARY
This position will perform appropriate patient care at a competent level as directed by a provider, within the scope of approved skills according to the needs of the patients including rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting in patient medical record in accordance with policies / procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs assigned tasks for patients as assigned.
- Assists personnel in communication with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality of care.
- coordinates schedules of diagnostic testing.
- Considers the diverse needs of each patient, providing and ensuring the highest level of service according to established service standards, optimizing the patient experience.
- Participates in collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues and ensures clean and safe patient environment.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 Yrs in Medical Facility
- BILINGUAL
- Certified as a Medical Assistant by the Texas Department of Health.
- Current BLS
- COVID 19 Vaccination
