Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH RN license and 2 years of MS / Tele experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting

Night shifts scheduled as 3x12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Cares for a patient ratio of 1 : 4

Uses Epic EMR with prior experience required

Locals are accepted at the same rate

Primary responsibilities include IV starts, administering medications, patient monitoring, conducting lab work, and providing patient education

Role requires prompt completion of Ohio fingerprinting process for credentialing

Former employees eligible if separated from the facility for at least six months; current employees of any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible

All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand

Two years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience required

BLS and IV certification required

Proficiency in IV starts, patient monitoring, lab collection, medication administration, and patient education

Epic EMR experience required

Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Two professional references required, including at least one from a supervisor or manager
