About the role :

Were looking for a Fullstack Engineer to architect and build the infrastructure that powers AI-driven video workflows at scale. Youll join a small high-impact team and own the critical transition from prototype to production-ready platform.

While this role is remote eligible for candidates residing in the United States please note that remote employees will need to travel to the office for team meetups or other events as needed.

Interviewing in person in San Francisco will be required.

In this role you will :

Design and implement scalable backend architecture using API routes and

Build robust video processing pipelines for ingestion transcoding and multi-format exports

Create background job systems for long-running video operations with proper queuing and error handling

Architecting data models and database schemas that support collaborative video editing at scale

Implementing authentication authorization and session management systems

Optimizing video storage and CDN delivery for thousands of concurrent users

You may be a good fit if you have :

5-7 years of experience building and scaling production web applications

Strong expertise in backend development and API design

Experience with database design query optimization and data modeling at scale

Track record of building asynchronous job processing systems and handling long-running operations

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP) and CDN configuration

Proven ability to architect systems that scale from hundreds to thousands of users

Preferred qualifications :

Deep experience with video processing (FFmpeg transcoding streaming protocols)

Background in AI / ML product development or computer vision applications

Experience with video editing workflows media asset management or creative tools

Familiarity with export formats (EDL FCPXML) and professional video standards

Track record of migrating client-heavy applications to scalable server architectures
