Responsibilities

The Floor Technician is responsible for, under the supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager, maintaining clean and attractive public and employee areas within the facility.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to :

• Operate various types of cleaning equipment used for floor care and maintenance such as scrubbers, burnishing machine, carpet extractors and vacuums cleaners.
• Handles floor care, stripped and wax, carpet cleaning and shampoo, marble cleaning and polishing, upholstery cleaning. Moving tables and chairs as required.
• Prioritize and coordinate with other workers as needed to complete floor care work within the overall scope of multi-trade projects.
• Assist supervisor in the training of new employees in proper floor care methods and procedures.
• Tags equipment for repairs and advise supervisor.
• Maintenance and cleaning equipment.
• Performs Floor Attendant job duties if needed
• Follows all safety requirements and procedures required for the position.
