Research Assistants will be working on research that involves one or more of the following areas: building air quality/circulation, energy budgeting, building/timber life cycle analysis, structural composite analysis, carbon accounting, and acoustic reporting of mass timber assemblies. An ideal candidate should have experience in the timber industry with mass timber construction, building and mass timber acoustics, and/or human health as it relates to the built environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in architecture/engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience with concepts, analytical techniques, and measurement equipment of building systems and architectural design.
• Experience with building science data analytics and statistical analysis.
• Experience with building management and automation systems, and building HVAC and lighting equipment.
• Experience working as part of a group or team, in a team atmosphere.
