Senior Analyst, SSA Strategic Insights Contractor

About the Position

The Senior Analyst Contractor will report to our Head of Sub‑Saharan Africa (SSA). They will gain a unique perspective on how macroeconomic and political trends impact business plans and operations of the world's largest multinationals. They will also monitor, analyze, and create a view on a range of major ongoing political and economic issues in the regional SSA economy. This is a research contractor role, requiring 2+ years of work experience.

About the FrontierView Sub‑Saharan Africa (SSA) Team

The contractor will be part of FrontierView’s SSA Strategic Insights (SI) team. The SSA SI team produces all syndicated content for FrontierView’s client base in the region. The team combines regional knowledge, macroeconomic and political insights, and business acumen to provide impactful analysis, forecasts, and executional advice for a senior executive audience. They work closely with the commercial team to support FrontierView’s growth strategy and ongoing client relationships.

About You

Qualified individuals with a passion for informing the decisions of senior corporate executives are strongly encouraged to apply. This unique position offers significant ownership of our view and exposure to how macroeconomic, political, and business analysis feeds directly into corporate plans and actions for the world's largest multinationals. You will have direct engagement with C‑suite level executives, giving rare influence and insight into decision‑making processes. We seek individuals who love global politics and economics, possess strong macroeconomic fundamentals, and understand how local dynamics, policy, and other factors interact with economic activity to shape local and global developments. You will be flexible, quickly get up to speed on unfamiliar topics, and be an exceptionally strong communicator. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and pressure test views, and you will deliver short‑form written analysis while managing multiple research projects simultaneously.
