We are looking for a driven, Senior Staff-level Product Manager who learns fast, is humble, and can manage extensive ambiguity across some of the company's, and industry's most cutting-edge machine-learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a technical and data-driven team player who understands how the details and goals of their product fit into the bigger picture of The Trade Desk's mission of creating a better advertising ecosystem for the open internet. As the voice of our customers globally, you'll deeply understand how to make users' lives better through software. One of our core product principles is "do the right thing". We expect you to represent our company and exercise good judgement, by balancing the needs of our diverse agency clients, partnerships, and the programmatic industry. In this role, you will own building out the next iteration of our auction pricing and budget experience, one of the most critical parts and at the heart of our entire platform. That includes an intimate understanding how our clients get the most out of our platform to build products that give them the power, flexibility, and choice they need. You'll gain a comprehensive technical understanding of our entire bidding stack, including how we leverage AI to augment our users and auction dynamics. You'll also design both UI and API experiences. You will be working closely with stakeholders across our UX / UI, Data Partnerships, Data Science, and Engineering Teams-helping think through tradeoffs in workflow implementations, visualizations, model approaches, and customer impact. In addition to those teams, you will be working with stakeholders across the globe to bring our shared vision for programmatic advertising to life. This candidate will work on a magnitude of products that shape our auction strategy, maximize advertiser value and platform monetization. The ideal candidate should have expertise in auction & market dynamics, ranking, pricing, and inventory allocation algorithms.

What you bring to the table :

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience.
  • Technical Ability to distill highly complex, technical concepts, into simple and clear communication.
  • Vision Identify, outline, and shape the roadmap of the next major initiatives by collaborating with various stakeholders from leadership, engineering, data science, and product.
  • Passion your work matters. Your features matter. You care and give your all.
  • Grit sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations. You try many different approaches the right answer.
  • Collaborative the best PMs are not necessarily those with the best ideas, but those that ensure the right thing gets done.

  • Empathy As a PM you are the voice of the customer and engineer and need to represent them from a position of deep understanding.
  • Entrepreneur as a PM you need to get out there and convince others of your ideas.
  • A sustained track record of making significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to large and impactful software projects.
  • Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative solutions while managing tradeoffs.
  • Strong interest with a decent understanding of what computing and deep learning can do a passion for technology and how to apply that to problems of massive scale.

Bonus :

  • Prior experience with pricing systems and machine learning models.
