Staff Accountant

Addison Group's client is searching for a Staff Accountant for a 3-6+ month project in Fairfax, VA. This role pays $28-30 / hr. As a Staff Accountant, you will manage essential accounting functions, assist in financial reporting, and contribute to the overall health of our financial records. You'll play a key role in the monthly closing process, financial data management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
• Assist in the monthly close process by preparing and reviewing account reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounting operations.
